宋徽宗的御花園 (The Imperial Garden of Sung Hui-Tsung)

Introduction
“宋徽宗的御花園”是天工開物為故宮宋代文物大展所設置的互動裝置
包括互動屏風 觀眾可以用古典圓扇搧動屏風中飛舞的彩蝶 藉以觸發互動
或是在互動桌面上 賞玩宋徽宗的真跡 以及著名的寒食帖
The project was part of the National Palace Museum’s exhibition which showed the artwork collection of Sung Hui-Tsung-the emperor that ruled North Sung Dynasty from 1082AD to 1135AD.
To make visitors experience the atmosphere of Sung Dynasty impressively and make learning art history more interesting, we designed two interactive installations-an interactive Chinese silk-screen and an interactive Chinese-style table. Rather than using mouse and keyboard, visitors could browse these artworks by a Chinese round silk fan or just touching the surface of the table. Through this project we successfully combined cultural resources with digital technology and designed interesting interface through the inspiration of our own cultural context. As a result, after the initial exhibition in Taipei these installations were exhibited in other cities around Taiwan.
The Interactive Table
The interactive table contained a multiple-user answering game based on artistic knowledge. Visitors could touch the desktop to answer any questions about these artworks and the desktop would show the score and the answering time. Visitors were rewarded with special animation if answering correctly within the time. The idea of using the table as tangible interface was inspired by the traditional way how people enjoy Chinese paintings and calligraphy-they put artworks on a long table for detailed appreciation because of the long scale of creations.
